About Lobby Service

The front entrances of our Mendon and Bellingham branches will be open and the Holliston Street entrance of our Medway office is designated for lobby access.  (The Main Street/Route 109 entrance of the Medway office will only be available for ATM access.) Each office lobby has a maximum number of customers allowed at any time: Medway – 4; Bellingham – 3; and Mendon – 3.  If the maximum number of customers has been reached in the office, you will be asked to wait outside the entrance at the indicated socially distanced ground markers until a customer leaves the office.

Customers are required to wear masks at all times within the building. If you cannot wear a mask due to health reasons, we ask that you use our Drive-Up service or call us to make other arrangements.

Hand Sanitizer
Hand sanitizer is available at the entrances and throughout the lobby.  Please make use of hand sanitizer as soon as you enter the branch.

Floor markings
We have installed markers on the floor for safe social distancing.

Check Writing Counter
We are cleaning our check writing counters and pens throughout the day, and hand sanitizer is available. If you prefer to have the teller complete your deposit or withdrawal tickets for you, please move directly to the designated floor marker in the teller area.

Teller Line
Please stand at designated floor markers for Teller Service. You will notice that protective barriers are installed for additional safety.

Meeting with your Personal Banker, Loan Officer, or Financial Services Officer
All meetings must be scheduled in advance.  Our goal is to obtain all information prior to meeting to prepare forms and complete account setup before you arrive.  Acrylic barriers have been installed at desks for everyone’s protection.

When entering our offices, a greeter will ask you to confirm the following:

  • You are NOT experiencing a fever (99.6° or more) or respiratory illness
  • You are NOT in quarantine or self-isolation
  • You have NOT come in close contact with anyone diagnosed with or showing symptoms of Covid-19
  • You have NOT recently travelled to CDC Level 2 or 3 countries or other Covid-19 hotspots in the USA within the last 2 weeks

If you do not meet ALL of the listed criteria, DO NOT ENTER THE BUILDING. Please call us to make alternate arrangements.

We are Prepared

Charles River Bank is prepared for continuity of service during any emergencies, natural disasters, and situations like we are experiencing with Covid-19.  Our employees are cross-trained and able to cover other employees who may not be able to work.

How we are protecting you and our team members:

  • Many of our team members are working remotely from home to reduce the number of people moving throughout our offices.
  • Our team members wear face masks when meeting with customers and in shared spaces throughout our buildings.
  • Protective shields have been installed at teller stations and desks where customer transactions occur.
  • Limiting lobby access helps us limit exposure of our team members and customers, and provides time to clean surfaces between customer visits.
  • We adhere to strict cleaning routines for all bank equipment, especially those used in public areas.
  • Employee temperatures are monitored daily and anyone who is feeling ill or exhibiting symptoms of fever or respiratory illness, or has a family member who is ill, is asked to stay home.
  • Our team members will not be participating in any large group functions or community events until there is consensus that the community spread threat for coronavirus has passed.

We will continue to update this page as warranted. We have also created a checklist of how to stay connected to your accounts during this time.

If you have any questions, please call our Customer Care Team at 508-533-8661 or email

Be aware of Coronavirus-scams

As too often is the case, periods of uncertainty are often accompanied by fraud-related attempts. Scammers have been setting up fraudulent websites to sell virus-related products and using emails and social media in attempts to steal your personal and financial information. The Federal Trade Commission offers these tips to protect yourself:

  • Never click on links from institutions unfamiliar to you. Doing so, could result in having a virus downloaded onto your computer or device.
  • Ensure you have up-to-date virus software and the latest updates downloaded on your computer or device.
  • Be on the alert for false emails from what appears to be the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Instead, visit the Center for Disease Control and Prevention official website as well as the World Health Organization (WHO) website.
  • Ignore ads and online offers promoting vaccines, preventions, treatment, or cure claims for the Coronavirus.

Remember, Charles River Bank will never call you, unsolicited, and ask for
information about your accounts.
If you suspect you have been the victim of fraud, please contact the Bank immediately.
