School Savings Program

At Charles River Bank, we are committed to helping children in our community learn the basics of savings and financial responsibility.

For Elementary School Students at Participating Schools
Each week a member of the Charles River Bank team will visit your child’s school and allow him or her to make a deposit into their very own savings account. Throughout the school year, students will learn banking basics – filling out a deposit slip, maintaining a transaction registry – while watching their savings grow. Participating schools include: Medway Burke-Memorial Elementary, Medway McGovern Elementary, Clough Elementary in Mendon, and Upton Memorial Elementary.

To reward and encourage students we offer free gifts, newsletters, and contests throughout the year. Plus, we will deposit $5 into the account to get them started! (One $5 opening deposit per child.)

For High School Students
Charles River Bank operates a full-service branch in the main lobby of the Medway High School which is run by students. Student Tellers get hands-on experience operating a bank branch, providing customer service, processing bank transactions, handling new accounts, and addressing service inquiries. They also gain an understanding of banking regulations, products, and services.
