Yesterday, credit reporting agency Equifax announced that between May and August there had been a data breach affecting 143 million of their customers. Personal information potentially compromised include social security numbers, credit card numbers, driver’s license numbers, addresses and birthdates. Equifax is offering one year of free credit monitoring, whether or not you were affected by this breach.
